The BIA Core Wealth Allocation Model Portfolio has removed the entire position of both the iShares Gold Trust (IAU) net cost $11.02 and the PowerShares DB Gold Fund (DGL) net cost $58.09. These positions represented about 8.5% of the portfolio.
The portfolio has also added a to the position in the SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) at a net cost of $164.47. The added position was about 8.5% of the portfolio and brings the total holdings of GLD to 12% of the BIA Core Wealth Allocation Portfolio.
These moves represent a consolidation of gold based ETF’s into one position and do not change the overall exposure to gold via ETFs in the portfolio.
